MASERATI KUBANG OPULENT BLEND OF BOTH COUPE AND SUV

Maserati has decided to reinvent the sport-utility vehicle (SUV) by infusing it with the kind of uplifting driving pleasure
and luxury atmosphere offered by today's high-end sports and luxury cars to create a sport luxury SUV concept.
Known as the Kubang, Maserati calls it "the forerunner of the future Maserati range," creating a new segment for the Italian
carmaker while still maintaining the integrity of Maserati's DNA.
The Kubang builds on the idea of a luxury SUV that Maserati first unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in 2003--a concept that bears
the same name. Today, with the help of its sister brand, Jeep, the Maserati Kubang is now closer than ever to production.
According to the Italian carmaker, the essence and all major components of the Kubang luxury SUV is unmistakably Maserati.
Its style, engine, suspensions, brakes, handling and performance is  100-percent Maserati in keeping with the brand's core
values of sportiness, style, elegance, luxury, performance and craftsmanship.
New-generation high-tech Maserati engines designed in Modena by Paolo Martinelli, chief of the carmaker's powertrain department
and for nearly 30 years at Ferrari where he also served as the engine chief of the Formula 1 racing team, and produced in
Maranello by Ferrari will power the Kubang. An eight-speed automatic transmission and specific performance settings such as
suspensions, brakes, steering will be exclusively developed in Modena for the Kubang by the Maserati product development
department. Some analysts predicted that the Maserati Kubang will be equipped with V8 or V12 engine. However, the special
thing can be found in Maserati Kubang will not only its big engine and power but analysts also believed that the Italian
luxury car maker will put premium-class features there.

The exterior side of the luxurious SUV will also unique; different with any other SUVs that can be found on the market.
The design of the grille is almost similar with GranTurismo and Quattroporte. The chassis is similar like Jeep Grand
Cherokee and its profile is like coupe.

"Until today Maserati has been producing sedans, coupes and two- or four-seater convertibles. Whether we named them
Quattroporte, GranTurismo or GranCabrio--or, before them, Ghibli, Mistral, Bora or Indy--their common denominator
rested in two words: sportiness and luxury," Maserati said in a statement. "Times have changed: sportiness and luxury
today don't have just one definition. They can also take the form of a very dynamic looking and high performing sport luxury SUV."

Maserati has pulled off the wraps of Kubang, a new Jeep Grand Cherokee-based luxury SUV. Maserati confirmed that the luxury sport
SUV segment is the natural target for the trident marque to go. They added that the Maserati Kubang would enlarge its range of
product and strengthen its existence in the sport luxury SUV market. According to plan, Maserati Kubang will be built on the
same assembly line as the Jeep Grand Cherokee, which is in Michigan, but the automaker announced that the new SUV will get
better and more complete features.

Maserati Kubang gets a new engine type designed by Paolo Martinelli. The engine used for the Kubang is newly designed, so
it will have significant changes in some sides. You must know that Paolo is the head of Maserati Powertrain Department for
more than 30 years. He has experienced in powertrain section because had ever worked in Ferrari and its Formula 1 team.

Maserati side announced that the Kubang SUV will be given Modena-engineered performance braking, steering and suspension
system. When it is launched in the market officially, more details can be captured about this magnificent luxurious Italian
SUV. And we predicted that it is not hard for the public to accept this Maserati Kubang, except its high price.
